Cool Stuff You Gotta Try

Cool Stuff You Gotta Try

As you all know, I attended Type-A Parent Conference in June 2012 and had an amazing time connecting with other geeky, bloggy. cool-mo-dee moms and dads.  Not only did I connect with fabulous bloggers, I connected with some killer brands with products and services I know you will love.  Here’s my Type-A faves list, in no particular order:

TimeDog

This one was a sleeper hit.  First of all, TimeDog is cool because they’re based out of Tampa, Florida, my current military assigned hometown.  Secondly, they’re cool because I didn’t know how cool this service was until I used it.  And thirdly, they’re cool because they live up to their slogan “Amazing made easy.”

So, what’s TimeDogTimeDog is the personal assistant that every busy Mami needs.  Call them, text them, email them…there’s even an app for that.

Did you go to the store only to find out that what you needed was out of stock?  Call TimeDog and let them do the leg work to find you the nearest vendor that carries what you need.

Lost?  Need directions?  Call TimeDog.

Need to send a text, but you’re driving?  Call TimeDog.

Need to pick up dinner after work but you’ve got a staff meeting at the end of the day and don’t have time to call it in?  Call TimeDog that morning and ask them to place the order so all you have to do is pick it up on the way home from work.

SHAZAAM, right?

So how do I TimeDog?  A couple of weeks ago, I called TimeDog to do me a huge favor.  I needed to have something held for my mom to pick up from a store in North Carolina.  I was in the middle of a hellaciously busy day  I didn’t have time to call around and find the product, and then have the product held, and then call my mom back with all the details.  So, guess what?  I called TimeDog, gave them the skinny and delegated the task out to them.

They did the leg work, had the product held, called my mom, and texted me when it was all said and done.  “Amazing made easy,” you better believe it.  Try it for free, 15 day trial w/ 10 free service requests…tell them Military Money Chica sent you!

Preparing for a deployment?  You can buy a gift of 1, 3, 6 months of service to help you out while your spouse is away.

 AboutOne

Brica

Talk about some of the hippest, coolest, affordable babymama swag this side of the Mississippi…Brica‘s where it’s at.  Leave the cutesy pastels at home and get your hands on some stylin’ mod gear.  I’ve got a couple faves, like the Handy Hook and the Bath Kneeler. Not to mention, they’re available at one of my favorite stores of all time, Target.

For my traveling peeps, they’ve got a killer CoverGuard Carseat Cover that has WHEELS for when you fly!  I look forward to getting my hands on one of these when we travel to hangout in Hawaii next year to meet our Niecephew (it’s a mystery) for the first time.

Life’sDHA

Can you say Omega-3s wrapped in Chocolate?  YUM!  And that’s just the beginning.  It was nice to connect a face to the brand behind so many products I love and use.  The girls get their Omega-3s in moo-juice from Horizon and La Grande would bathe in Silk’s Vanilla Soy fortified with…you guessed it, Life’sDHA Omega-3s.

Life’sDHA is the brand behind the “fish-free sustainable source of DHA from algae” that has “proven brain, eye, heart health benefits for all stages of life.”

You can find Life’sDHA in a variety of products including  milk, infant formulas, vitamins, and supplements.

So, back to the Omega-3 chocolates?  Yeah, those little nuggets of goodness..they’re called DHA Truffles by Flora Health.  I would eat them in a box, in my socks, on top of rocks.
